From Friday 15th January 2021, services at the Adelaide Health Centre will be temporarily closing to allow it to be used as part of the city’s response in the fight against COVID-19. This includes services and appointments offered by Solent GP Surgery. This will mean that unfortunately there will be no appointments at our Adelaide site until further notice. All appointments will be offered at our Nicholstown site in the Royal South Hants Hospital unless we inform you otherwise.
Solent GP Surgery is open for its patients and will continue to offer online consultations and accept prescription requests via eConsult and the NHS App so you can do as much from home as possible. If a GP or nurse asks you to attend in person, you will be made aware of where and when to attend.
Please do not attend any of our sites unless you have a booked appointment or have been asked to attend for another reason.
The Adelaide telephone number 0300 1236066 will still be in use and staff are available during our regular hours to answer calls but will not be taking prescription requests over the phone. If you are unable to request your prescription on line or by post, the pharmacy at Adelaide has kindly offered to take requests for us, but this should be as a last resort please to avoid overwhelming them.
We apologise for the inconvenience that this will cause many of our Adelaide patients. The decision has not been taken lightly and we will continue to do what we can to provide the highest standard of care to our patients during this challenging time for everyone.
We thank you for your patience and understanding.
