Spring COVID-19 Vaccination Programme

April – June 2023 (Phase 5)

BACK TO MAIN INDEX

Our spring booster vaccination programme for COVID-19 will be starting shortly.

We invite everyone aged 75 years and older, residents in care homes for older people and those aged 5 years and over with a weakened immune system to come forward and have a vaccine booster for coronavirus, this spring (April – June 2023).

There must be a minimum of 12 weeks since a previous covid-19 vaccination.

To begin with, we will be prioritising patients that are most vulnerable- those that live in a care home for older people or those who are housebound. These patients will be contacted directly.

Towards the end of April and into June 2023 all other eligible patients will receive a text message invite to their mobile phones, inviting them to book in for an appointment. Please wait to receive your invite, new appointments will be released every week.

Clinics will run from the Royal South Hants Hospital (RSH) on a number of Saturdays through-out this time. Patients without a mobile phone will be contacted separately via a phone call and offered an appointment.

Under 18s with a weakened immune system will need to book in with a separate service, patients can do this by calling the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Covid Helpline on 0300 561 0018, Monday to Friday between 0900-1700.

Specific information about the spring covid vaccination is available on the government's website, including in a variety of different languages such as Polish, Bengali, Panjabi and Urdu:
