NHS Contract

We would like to let you know that the NHS is putting a new contract in place for GP services at Solent GP Surgery

The GP services contract for the practice is due to end on 31 March 2027, and a new contract is due to be in place from 1 April 2027.

When a contract comes to an end, NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board (ICB) is required to run a formal process to select the organisation that will provide services in the future. This process will take place between June and December 2026.

We are inviting patients to share feedback about their experience of the practice, which will help inform the overall process.

You can share your feedback or ask questions in the following ways:

• Completing a paper survey available at the practice
• Completing the online survey

We understand that this process may feel uncertain for both patients and staff. Please be assured that there are arrangements in place to support staff through any changes, and we kindly ask that everyone continues to treat staff with understanding and respect during this time.

NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB will continue to keep patients updated as the process progresses. Updates will be shared on the practice website, and patients will be notified of any significant developments by text message where appropriate.

You do not need to take any action. There will be no interruption to your care, and services will continue as normal throughout this process.
